Budding Friendships

Elizabeth Baker, the Story Teller from the charity Equal Arts, was in fine voice, regaling the adults and children with stories of Nature. Whilst she wove her wonderous tales the rest of us worked together to create more decorations for our performance piece. Using acrylic paint pens and small gems to decorate the different trees, these will be added to our collage over the coming weeks. The collage will form the backdrop to a performance of the story which will take place when we hold our carol service.  What a lovely session and it is so good to see more residents coming to join in each week.

It is now coming up to 10 years since we first started visiting Angel Court and some of the original members are still there. Vera and Elsie, now well into their 90’s, still look forward to getting creative with the children each week. Over the next 12 months we are planning to have as much work on show as possible so anyone visiting the care home can see the kind of things we have done together over the years.
