This term in our Forest School we will be taking part in the RSPB Big School Birdwatch. All classes will be involved in this in some way. This week we revisited how we identify birds.
Below you can see some of the Year 2 children playing a bird identification game, this helps with their observation skills and has the added benefit of keeping everyone warm and toastie. Over the next few weeks we will introduce lots of bird related activities which will help us to be more accurate on the day.
If you and your family are interested you can sign up to the RSPB Garden Birdwatch too.
Meanwhile Year 6 have decided to extend their Barter Town activities. The children have come up with a plan and two of our boys put together a power point that they delivered to the whole year group. This really helped to inspire everybody.
At Angel Court Miss Rowe took a team of Year 5 children to sort out their community garden. They cleared paths of leaves and moss, removed broken, wind blown branches and generally made it safe for residents to enjoy.
