Arithmetic

Today, as usual on a Friday, the children in Year 6 have worked incredibly hard on a practice arithmetic test.

The lesson began with the children practising written subtraction with decimals and short and long division. Over the course of the lesson, the children completed written methods with all four operations, as well as fraction calculations. They also looked at finding simple percentages and worked on finding 95% by finding 5% and taking it away from the whole number. It is lovely to see the children really trying their best and becoming more confident with arithmetic.
