Learning about the Synagogue

Today, the boys and girls started learning about the Jewish faith.   They began with a visit to Newcastle Reform Synagogue and found out about why it is such an important building and what happens there.  After their visit, the children have reflected on the activities which take place in a synagogue and have discussed a number of the artefacts they saw. They explained what the artefacts are and their purpose. The boys and girls have also learned about the Western Wall in Jerusalem and why this is a special place for people of the Jewish faith.
