Red Nose Day is a fundraising event run by Comic Relief which aims to create a world free of poverty. The money raised is used to transform lives in the UK and around the world. As a school we believe that raising money for charity is a way of promoting a positive, caring attitude amongst our children.
Wear Red Day
This year for Red Nose Day the children came in their red clothing and accessories to raise money for the appeal show on Friday 21st March. We took part in a PSHE session to discuss the meaning of Comic Relief and how our fundraising efforts can help support those in need.
Joke Competition
This year, we held a whole school joke competition. It was lovely to hear the school filled with laughter throughout the day. The Rights Respecting officers from each year group came together to judge decide on an overall winner from each year group phase (Early Years, KS1 and KS2). Well done to all of the winner. We hope you enjoy listening to their jokes in the video’s below.
Thank you to our school community for the generosity showing in raising money for Comic Relief this year. We raised £309!! Harlow Green once again demonstrated its responsibility to help their local and wider communities.
