Over the last few weeks our school Football team have been busy taking part in the league and cup competitions which have been taking place after school on a Thursday.
our Years 5/6 football team took part in the league cup finals which was held at our school. The tournament was scheduled for October when we did qualify but was postponed due to the weather so was great finally get it on.
We played three games and the team gave everything in every single one of them – the team work on show was phenomenal! We were unbeaten all night and never conceded a goal either – crowned league cup champions for the first time in NINE years.
With the cup sealed and won it was down to the final few league games to try and get another bit of silverware for Harlow Green the league decider came down to a game Vs Oakfield and who ever won would be crowned champions. The game was very close and both teams had some fantastic chances it was us who found the back of the net with a few minutes left on the clock and managed to hold on to a 1-0 win.
This is the third time in four years we have won the league which is unbelievable.
and the first time we have won the double as well!
This is an outstanding achievement well done everyone – we are very proud of the team.
