This term we have been looking at the Christian faith, focusing on the Miracles of Jesus and Christian pilgrimages.
We looked at the well known miracles like Jesus calming the sea, feeding the five thousand and healing the sick, and then had a good class discussion as to whether modern miracles exist. The children were superb, showing great understanding, respect and depth of discussion – especially where opinions and ideas differed in class.
They always find the topic fascinating and we are always impressed at how interested the children are. We enjoyed reading about Saint Bernadette and the pilgrimage to Lourdes in France, with the children creating newspaper reports and poster graphics as part of their work.
