The children in KS2 have been working like little elves (maybe to impress Santa and get on the right list?) on their reading over the last fortnight. They are now becoming more familiar with Accelerated Reader and Reading Plus and you can see that many of the children are using these programs regularly at home. Over the Christmas holidays, it would be great to still see them using their spare time to complete some of the reading activities.
It is excellent to see more children achieving 50,000 words in Reading Plus and – impressively – we now have our first 150,000 word reader in Year 5! the challenge is now on for others to catch-up!
Accelerated Reader: Class 3A and Class 5A with 83.4%
Reading Plus: Class 6B with 81.8%
