As you will be aware, the Prime Minister has announced that the nation will move to their ‘Plan B’, as a consequence of the Omicron variant of Covid-19. This requires a reintroduction to our lives of some of the simpler restrictions with an aim of slowing the spread during this uncertain time.
In relation to Harlow Green, I wanted to express that this will have very little impact on us, at this point in time. As we continued with our control measures from the summer term, we meet all the expectations required at present.
The only slight difference in our measures for next week will be that we will reintroduce two separate yards on the MUGA, which is currently set up as one. This will mean that, for the last week, children will play with their classmates rather than across their year group. By implementing this, we aim to reduce the number of close contacts children will have in the week leading up to Christmas.
As the use of face coverings has been identified as one of the most effective ways to reduce the spread of Covid-19, we would ask that adults accessing the site wear them once again, wherever possible. I know that the use of masks has lessened this term but, in line with the national concern and worries of some of our families, I would hope this is a small thing that parents/carers can do to support us as a community.
Our hope is that by doing some of the small things we can reduce the risk of more stringent measures being implemented over the coming weeks.
Thank you, as ever, for your understanding and support in this matter.
