This year we introduced a new sport to our upper school years – Boccia. A great sport for children of all abilities – sitting and standing – and is great to build team work and support. The children have loved it – working on accuracy in strength of the bowling and direction as well as understanding that different surface types and friction will change how far the ball will roll and how hard they need to bowl.
We have seen some really intense battles and a lot of fantastic work within the teams to ensure they use tactics and skills to improve their accuracy. Next – golf!
We team this up with some cardio activities too including dancing, games and of course our laps of the field as often as we can!
Article 29 – We have the right to develop our talents and abilities.
