Yesterday we had three teams take part in the Gateshead School Sports Boccia competition. There were 28 teams who took part from all across Gateshead and all of our three teams did really well and gave their all in every single game. Two of our teams got to the semi-finals with Harlow Green C narrowly missing out on getting through to the final and finished fourth overall.
The children have been developing their skills at playing Boccia during PE lessons as part of our inclusive and accessibility focus in school sports.
Harlow Green B won their semi-final and also won the final taking away the gold medal and winning the competition. This is an amazing achievement and they will now represent Gateshead in the County Finals in May.
Well done to all children who took part!
