Pizza Parlour
The children in Nursery have been interested in pizzas over the past weeks, making pizzas in the playdough area and home corner, therefore we made our own pizza shop in Nursery!
The children enjoyed role-playing pizza making in the shop, adding their favourite toppings, taking orders, queuing to order, counting money, and delivering orders to the table.
The pizza shop helped us develop our language of size – small, medium, large, as well as food toppings, healthy eating, and job roles – chef, waiter, receptionist, customer.
To bring their interests to life, we made our very own pizzas! We made a tally chart of their favourite toppings, and then the children got to choose which topping they’d like when making their own.
