In PE, Year Two have been practising their ball skills. This week, the children had to control the ball using their hands and feet.
First, the children had to move the ball around their body in the same direction. When they heard ‘change’, they had to carefully change the direction the ball was moving. At first, some balls rolled away, but after a little bit of practise, all of the children had full control over their ball.
Next, the children had to take their ball ‘for a walk’. To begin, they carried their ball around the space. Then, they rolled it with their hands and, finally, kicked it with their feet. It was a lot harder to control the ball while moving but the children persevered and succeeded .
