The start off the day began with a little nervous energy with children excited about what the day would have in store in respect of their new classes and teachers. However, by the time the end of day bell sounded everyone skipped out of school having had a really positive experience and being a little more prepared for next year.
During the day, in amongst a range of activity, there was the opportunity to get to know the teacher through a quiz but also for children to share more about themselves. Time was spent considering what would be learned next year in lessons and also how this may help children achieve their goals in life and the careers they eventually want. Of course, the focus was about developing relationships and feeling part of a new class, which will begin again in September. Hopefully,, all the children will be looking forward to this as much as their teachers.
