Birthday Baking

As part of our topic, we have been thinking all about birthday and how we celebrate.

This week we had some messy fun by baking cakes and decorating them. We had a set of instructions to follow to make the most delicious cakes! We learnt that we need four key ingredients – eggs, butter, sugar and flour. We worked hard in groups to measure, pour and mix the ingredients before cooking them in the oven for 20 minutes. We decorated them the next day, once they had fully cooled, by adding icing and lots of tasty sweets and toppings.
