So impressive to see two of our newly appointed Outdoor Workers already having the confidence to run some games of Sticky Feet with the Year 1 children. Just getting yourself heard outside in the rain can be a real challenge, but both girls really found their voices today. That got everyone warmed up and ready for action.
We then headed into the poly tunnel where Bob (one of our volunteers) was clearing out the poly tunnel. He set them to work raking and clearing the growing beds. They did a fantastic job and it gave a little shelter from a torrential downpour. Others weren’t put off by the weather and started our annual leaf collection. The leaves collected will go into our mulchers for compost next year. For the children more interested in creativity there were some willow rings, made by our Year 4 children that morning, that could be decorated with beautiful things found in the Forest School. A perfect way to keep warm and busy on a wet and blowy afternoon.
