In Nursery the children have been learning about the celebration of Bonfire Night.
We learnt that Bonfire Night happens on the 5th November each year, as a remembrance of Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up the Houses of Parliament with gunpowder in 1605.
We enjoyed watching videos of firework displays from around the country and sharing photos from displays we had attended with our families. We used our fine motor skills to draw fireworks using chalk, painted fireworks with toilet roll tube stampers, read stories and recreated a firework display in the small world.
As part of our topic learning, we melted chocolate and covered apples in it. We then added different sprinkles to the top to create chelate apples.
