Nursery have been learning all about the meaning and importance of Valentine’s Day this week.
This Valentine’s Day, the children had fun exploring the meaning of love and friendship. They talked about how it’s a day to show kindness and appreciation for the people they care about. We discussed who they love, including family members and friends, and reflected on why these special people are important to us.
They created heartfelt videos sharing who/what they love, giving a reason behind this. They also followed a recipe to bake their very own delicious jam tarts, and then got crafty with Valentine’s Day cards. The children independently decided who to send their cards to, and even practiced writing their names as they signed off their messages. Along the way, they learned about the significance of Valentine’s Day, making it a truly special and fun-filled experience!
