Perfect Puppets!

This term we have been making hand puppets as part of our design and technology work.

We began reviewing the running stitch, which the children have done previously, then had a go at over stitch, and if really confident, the back stitch.  We also have learned about a seam allowance to ensure the stitching is secure and stays in place.

The children were really focused and very attentive and showed some great abilities at sewing.  We are pretty impressed at the final results, along with how much patience and attention they took.  We finished by adding various embellishments to the design.
