What a fantastic afternoon! The whole of KS2 showed just how fantastic they are with brilliant behaviour, amazing athletics and super sportsmanship! Determination, resilience and team spirit were all clearly demonstrated by the children.
The children were all split into 4 teams-the last four countries of the Women’s Football World Cup: USA, England, Sweden and the Netherlands. They competed in a variety of races and activities (javelin, obstacle course and a penalty shootout).
The fantastic staff worked tirelessly to score each of the events and combined all the totals with the KS1 Sports Day results to find our winning team! Following the success of the USA women’s football team, our children in USA also soared to victory!
The results were as follows:
1st place: USA
2nd place: Netherlands
3rd place: England
4th place: Sweden
We would all like to say how fantastic all the children were over the course of the afternoon. We would also like to thank all of the staff for all of their hardwork over the course of the week for all of the different sports days! Finally, we would like to thank all of the parents who were there to support their children (and perhaps even participate in their very own race!)
