Every Monday, we will post a new writing task for the Year One children to complete. We will include some help and an example of the activity. Once you have completed the writing activity, you can send it to [email protected] for your teachers to read. We are looking forward to seeing your fantastic work!
Task – Jack and the Beanstalk
Read Jack and the Beanstalk. Then, choose two pictures from Jack and the Beanstalk Sentence Sheet.pdf and, using the words provided, write a sentence about each picture.
You can either print off the sheet and write a sentence next to your chosen pictures or, if you do not have access to a printer, you can display the image on your device and write your sentence on a piece of paper.
What I’m Looking For:
- Capital letters at the start of each sentence
- Full stops at the end of each sentence
- Gaps between words
