This week in Reception we have started coming to school for full days! We have now met everyone who will be in our year group and are all enjoying getting to know each other and making new friends. We have started learning our class routines, spent time in our outdoor area, explored the classrooms areas, and played ‘follow the leader’ and ‘traffic lights’ in our PE session. The children have started singing a number of different number rhymes during our small group maths sessions such as; 5 little ducks, 5 fat sausages, 5 cheeky monkeys to name a few.
The Reception team are very impressed with the children this week for trying school dinners for the first time. We have lots of choice each day and the children are trying new foods and making their own choices (Have a look on the website for the lunch menu to see what your child is having each day).
