This week at Nursery we have had a ‘birthday week’ looking at how old we are ‘I am3’ ‘I am 4’, how old we will be on our next birthday, and who is the oldest/youngest.
We have celebrated birthday week by counting different numbers of candles onto cakes, making and decorating birthday cupcakes, playing lots of party games, decorating party hats with different shapes and patterns, birthday cards, and loads more! The children have also loved learning the song ‘5 Currant Buns’ using buns and money to do this!
The children have really enjoyed talking about different ways of celebrating birthdays, and what they would do at a party. The Nursery children received a ‘group birthday present’ of two teddy bears this week, ‘Louis the bear and Lottie the dog’ which they love and are now joining in with all of our fun.
