Year 6 have been working extremely hard with their writing over the last week. They have been focussing on expanding noun phrases, using colons to explain and correctly punctuating speech. They have been reading the book Friend or Foe and predicted what might happen when one of the boys, David, was pulled out from a river. They then wrote a narrative extract with a focus on description and speech between the characters. The work they produced was excellent and the children were extremely descriptive. It was also really pleasing to see six children achieve their pen licence this week. Keep it up Year 6. We are extremely proud of the start that you have made to the year.
