It was World Book Day on Thursday 4th March and children at school, as well as at home, have been enjoying activities related to nursery rhymes and Roald Dahl’s ‘Dirty Beasts’ during Harlow Green’s ‘World Beast Day’.
The last few months has been a little different to normal, with most children continuing to be home-schooled, but the importance of being able to lose yourself in a book has, perhaps, never been more important than it has been over the last year, where a story can allow an escape from reality and submerge you into a world of fantasy and imagination.
It has been lovely to see work being shared from home but specifically observing the fun and enjoyment that children had as they engaged in some beastly activities.
