The children have had so much fun in their first week back at school. This week we introduced our new English text – Meerkat Mail. It all started with a safari hunt around the school field. Everyone made a safari name badge and some children even chose to make some binoculars in their choosing time. They explored the field with a clipboard and ticked off each animal as they found it. The next day, the children listened to the story of Meerkat Mail and were introduced to the character of Sunny (who they also discovered on the safari hunt!) We even pretended we were Sunny and drew pictures of what he would take on his adventure with him. A great start for everyone. Well done!
