The transition to primary school is an extremely important one, for both children and their families. At Harlow Green, we spend considerable time planning for this transition in our aim to create the best situation for children to start school quickly and to settle into the routines which will support their development. We constantly evaluate how we manage this process but the opinions of families, who are on the receiving end of our approach, is what matters in relation to how effective we are. To this end, we surveyed Reception parents/carers to identify how successful we have been in our aims in the autumn term of 2023. We we extremely pleased with the responses, as can be seen in the summary which can be accessed by clicking on the image below:
At the end of the 2022-2023 academic year, we sought the general views of parents/carers with the standards ‘Ofsted’ survey. The outcome of this was hugely positive and we were proud of how the school is perceived by the vast majority of our community. The comments that were also provided were hugely appreciated and have allowed us to see what we are currently doing well as well as motivating us to continue to improve in the same direction.
