In Year 3 the boys and girls have been learning about addition and subtraction using 3 digit numbers. The children used Base10 apparatus to support their learning.
During plan, do and review, the boys and girls made a bus in the outdoor area. It even had stairs as it was a double decker bus. The children said it was the number 10 bus and it was going to Newcastle. They made signs and tickets for the bus. Everyone worked together as a team.

Year 6 are planning to write the diary of an evacuee child, David, during World War II. To prepare for this, they used props and artifacts to generate discussion and ideas for writing. They enjoyed the activity as it helped them imagine what events might have happened in his life.

Our Computing Club is extremely popular. The children have enjoyed visiting websites and creating posters and powerpoints with Mr Hewett.

Our fantastic musicians meet on a Wednesday lunchtime to practice guitar. Mr Nicholson enjoys working with the group and they have learnt many new tunes over past few months.
Last spring, the Nursery children planted lots of vegetable seeds in our vegetable patch. This week the Nursery children have been very excited to dig them up. We found lots of delicious vegetables that we are going to use to make soup.
