The Year 3/4 Hockey team that qualified for the finals last week had an amazing time playing against the top Gateshead school teams. They showed fantastic sportsmanship and enthusiasm and we are proud of how well they played!  

The children had great fun this week creating Pirate Ships from our Christmas trees. The Pirates were fed sea biscuits, pirate stew and grog made in the galley. As you can see they were very busy and they even had a pirate band singing sea shanties.

Today in Year 3 and Year 4, we had lots of fun celebrating and fundraising for Comic Relief! In our classes, we all had a joke competition, where only one joke could be crowned the winner! This week, some of our year 3/4 hockey players took park in an exciting tournament against around 30 other teams! Amazingly, one of our teams has made it through to the finals on Monday! Congratulations!  

This year, to support Comic Relief, we have been telling jokes and making each other laugh. A big thank you to everyone who has donated money in our staff buckets this week . Yesterday, 5 of our Year 6 footballers played against 4 schools and won every match! This means they will go on to the finals! Congratulations!  

Work continues at Angel Court, our boxes are now varnished so they can go outside and the wooden toys have been given a few coats of linseed oil to protect them. The children and residents have worked really hard, so we have a full set of boxes for school and a set for the residents. Some of the toy

The children in Year One made an amazing effort for Red Nose Day this year.  They had fun decorating biscuits and making Red Nose Day portraits.  They also enjoyed the joke competition!  

In Year 3, the boys and girls have been learning tennis skills such as ball control, serving and volleys. The children’s progress in tennis this term is fantastic!
