Year 4

The Year 3/4 Hockey team that qualified for the finals last week had an amazing time playing against the top Gateshead school teams. They showed fantastic sportsmanship and enthusiasm and we are proud of how well they played!  

Today in Year 3 and Year 4, we had lots of fun celebrating and fundraising for Comic Relief! In our classes, we all had a joke competition, where only one joke could be crowned the winner! This week, some of our year 3/4 hockey players took park in an exciting tournament against around 30 other teams! Amazingly, one of our teams has made it through to the finals on Monday! Congratulations!

As part of our World Book Day Celebrations, Year 4 shared their love of books with our Reception children. Children were paired up, then given a little time to chat and get to know one another, before reading some of their favourite stories.  It was a lovely session with all the children completely

On Friday, a group of Year 3 and 4 girls took part in a football competition! They had lots of fun on their first ever outing as a team and tried their hardest in all of their games!  

Today, we had a lovely netball coach come in to help us develop our netball footwork and passing skills. We are excited to have our coach all term to lead up to playing some Year 4 matches.  

In English this week, we began our new book: I AM HENRY FINCH. We read the first few pages which talks about how noisy it is being a finch. The fist time we read the story we had lots of ‘background noise’ so we understood how the finches felt (it was far too noisy to think!). One day Henry Finch wa
