Harlow Green choir carol service at St Ninian’s

Our new school choirs first performance took place today at St Ninian’s church. This is part of an ongoing community project to help increase dementia awareness and share the energy of youth with local residents. Singing for Happiness is an initiative that aims to bring joy to those experiencing dementia and offer support for families.

The choir sang traditional carols and also some festive favourites, which gave everyone the opportunity to sing along and join in with the actions.

After the church service everybody was invited into the church hall for more music and refreshments. It was heart warming to see the children and members of the Singing for Happiness group chatting, singing and even dancing. What a lovely way to bring Christmas cheer.

Article 23 – We all have the right to special care and support if we are disabled and be able to lead a full and independent life.
