Pottery with our friends at Angel Court

Despite difficult times, our children and residents of Angel Court enjoyed a fantastic last session creating pottery depictions of the Angel of the North.   They started by rolling out the clay using guide sticks to control the thickness, the children helped the older people to do this, as they sometimes struggle to apply enough pressure. Great teamwork in action.

Once rolled, the shapes were cut out from templates, ready for decoration.

Lindsey Grieves, the potter who has been guiding us, has inspired us all with her ideas. We can’t wait to see what these pieces look like when they come out of the kiln. We are so lucky to be able to share our time with these amazing people and we hope they all stay healthy through these challenging times.
