  • Year 4 Parent Maths Session

    Year 4 Parent Maths Session invitation

    This half term, we would like to invite Year 4 parents/carers into school to be involved in some of the maths work that your children are undertaking.

    This session will take place on Tuesday 4th June, 2019, 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m.

    During the session we would like parents/carers to work alongside their children on activities which show different ways to support learning of multiplication facts and how this develops the basis of various aspects of problem-solving/reasoning.

    During the session we will undertake a carousel of activities which show how children can learn and practise multiplication facts.

    If you would like to attend this session, please complete and return the reply slip below so that we can have an idea of numbers.  However, due to the nature of the session, we must limit the numbers to one adult per child.

  • Reception Visit to Hall hill Farm, Durham

     Dear Parent/Carer,

    As part of this term’s topic, children in Reception will be going on an educational visit to Hall Hill Farm, Durham on Thursday 13th June, 2019.

     We will be leaving school at 9.30 a.m. to travel by coach to Hall Hill Farm and we will return before home-time.

    Each child will need to bring a packed lunch, with a drink (no glass bottles please).

    *Your child is entitled to free school meals. If you wish for a school packed lunch to be provided, then please tick the box on the permission box below. If the box is not ticked, then you will be responsible for providing your child/children with their packed lunch.

    Children are allowed to wear comfortable, weather appropriate outdoor clothing (preferred jog bottoms rather than jeans) which is to include a school uniform polo shirt and sweatshirt/cardigan, comfortable footwear that have a good none slip sole.

    We will be leaving school at 12.30 p.m. to travel to Blaydon Tennis Club by coach. The tournament is due to finish at approximately 3.00 p.m. when we will be travelling back to school.

  • Year 6 Visit to Vindolanda and Roman Army Museum

    Dear Parent/Carer,

     On Monday 17th June, 2019, as part of this term’s topic, which is “Leaving a Legacy – Roman Britain” children will be visiting Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum.

     Children will be leaving school after registration and will travel by coach to Vindolanda and the Roman Army Museum. We will be leaving the Roman Army Museum at approximately 2.45 p.m. for the return journey to school. We hope to arrive back to school for 3.45 p.m. depending on traffic.

    Each child will need to bring a packed lunch, with a drink (no glass bottles please).
